USPS Wins The Gold

CICS is delighted to learn that the U.S. Postal Service was recently awarded Climate Registered Gold status by The Climate Registry (TCR) for its leadership in reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 8 percent. The Postal Service is among the first of TCR’s 430 members, and the first government agency, to achieve this recognition.

Accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to conduct GHG inventory verification services for Members of The Climate Registry, CICS provided independent verification of USPS’ greenhouse gas emissions.

Kurt Teuscher, President of CICS Inc., said:

“We congratulate USPS on this achievement and on their commitment to being a sustainable organization.  We hope that many more TCR members will receive Gold status by reducing their GHG emissions by more than 5%.”
