EU ETS Phase III Baseline Verification
During 2010, most sites that are already currently included in Phase II of the EU ETS are required to provide verified “Historic Production and Other Data” to enable them to receive free allocation during Phase III of the EU ETS. The Agency has notified all relevant sites of the specific information required and the templates that must be used to compile the data.
Sites already in EU ETS need to provide the following
Data required: Verified production data (or heat, emissions) for 2005 to 2008 to calculate the site’s individual free allowance allocation
Agency submission: 30 April 2010
Independent verification: 30 June 2010
To streamline the process for existing CICS’ clients, the same site verifiers for annual emissions verification will be used for this exercise wherever possible.
New sites in Phase III of EU ETS need to provide two sets of data:
Data required: (1) Verified Historic Emissions Data (2005 to 2008) to submit to DECC to calculate the overall EU cap
Data required: (2) Verified production data (or heat, emissions) for 2005 to 2008 to calculate the sites individual free allowance allocation
Agency submission: (1) & (2) 30 April 2010
Independent verification: (1) 30 April 2010 and (2) 30 June 2010
Please contact Juliet James for further information. We would be happy to prepare a proposal for your baseline verification.
