CICS Awarded Accreditation to ISO 14065:2007 by UKAS
Complete Integrated Certification Services Ltd (CICS) announces that it has been awarded accreditation to ISO 14065:2007 to provide Greenhouse Gas (GHG) verification.
The award was made by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service). CICS is in the unique position of holding accreditation to ISO 14065:2007 with both UKAS and ANSI (American National Standards Institute), proving its credentials as a leading greenhouse gas verification company on both sides of the Atlantic.
ISO 14065 is now the international standard for GHG accreditation and provides the basis for most GHG schemes worldwide, both mandatory and voluntary, including EU ETS, The Climate Registry (USA) and PAS2050.
CICS was awarded ISO 14065 accreditation by ANSI in early 2009, enabling the company to become one of the most prominent GHG verifiers in North America, winning contracts with, amongst others, a global retailer and a national power company.
Shaun Bainbridge, a director at CICS, commented: “All the experience in achieving ISO 14065 accreditation in the US has paid off, by making our transition to ISO 14065 in Europe a very smooth process. This early accreditation will greatly benefit both our clients in the aviation sector, who must next year report verified GHG emissions under the EU ETS Scheme, and those in the new product lifecycle footprinting arena, PAS2050.”
