CICS Awarded Accreditation by UKAS to Provide PAS 2050 Verification
CICS is pleased to announce that it has been awarded accreditation to provide greenhouse gas verification against the PAS 2050 standard and the associated Code of Good Practice.
PAS 2050 is an international standard for the carbon footprinting of goods and services across the full lifecycle. Following verification, certified numbers will commonly be displayed on product packaging and consumer websites. CICS are now uniquely qualified to provide verification of an organisation’s PAS 2050 numbers and their associated claims and publicity. The award was made by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service).
Shaun Bainbridge, a director at CICS, commented: “Supply chain carbon footprinting and full lifecycle carbon footprinting of products and services is growing exponentially as consumers and other stakeholders are demanding accurate numbers. These carbon footprint numbers enable them to make purchasing choices based on verified environmental performance.”
CICS is providing PAS 2050 verification in Europe and North America across all products and services.
