The goal of The Climate Registry (TCR) is to provide an accurate, complete, consistent, transparent and verified set of greenhouse gas emissions data supported by a robust reporting and verification infrastructure.
Through this effort, the Registry encourages early action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and supports future greenhouse gas reduction efforts across North America.
CICS was one of the first verification bodies to be awarded ANSI (American National Standards Institute) accreditation under The Climate Registry scheme.
As one of the leading global emissions verifiers, CICS provides pragmatic cost-effective verification using experienced GHG verifiers. Additionally, CICS has specialist lead verifiers for your industry sector.
By July 2009, CICS was already the chosen verifier for over 20% of the sites having their 2008 emissions verified under TCR.
California Climate Action Registry (CCAR)
CCAR was the mandatory inventory program for California-based companies. However, CCAR will soon cease inventory functionality, and has recommended that its members join TCR. TCR has several programs designed to fit your corporate needs, from basic GHG registration to entity-wide carbon reduction goal setting.
