Verification Services Accreditation
North America
CICS holds formal accreditation with ANSI (American National Standards Institute) for the delivery of entity verification against
- ISO 14065:2007
- ISO 14064:2006 Part 3
- The Climate Registry (TCR) Verification Protocol.
CICS is also listed on the TCR website as an accredited Verification Body. This accreditation also allows us to verify against the California Climate Action Registry (CCAR) Verification Protocol.
CICS is currently working towards accreditation by ANSI for project verification according to ISO14064-2 (e.g. for the Climate Action Reserve programme for generating offsets for the forthcoming federal scheme).
Europe
CICS holds formal accreditation with UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) for delivery of:
- Climate Change Agreement (CCA).
- EU ETS Verification - Phase I, II and III. CICS was the first verification body to be awarded accreditation for both Phase I and Phase II of the scheme. CICS has now received accreditation from UKAS to provide EU ETS verification for aircraft operators. This accreditation is recognized by Ireland, Spain, France, Portugal, The Netherlands, and Malta.
- ISO14065 Accreditation to ISO 14065:2007 to provide Greenhouse Gas (GHG) verification. This is the new international standard for accreditation for verification bodies. CICS was awarded this by ANSI in 2009 and has now also been separately awarded accreditation by UKAS in 2010.
- PAS 2050 - specification for the assessment of the lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions of goods and services and the associated "Code of Good Practice". CICS was the first verification body to be awarded this accreditation in March 2010.
CICS is also approved by INAB for EU ETS Verifications in the Republic of Ireland.
